The recent publication of the latest Size & Health of the UK Space Industry Report by the UK Space Agency and know.space, indicates that the UK space industry grew by more than £1 billion, adding almost 1,800 jobs and 300 companies in a year despite the pandemic, outstripping the growth of the sector globally.

The sector continued to grow in a time that was challenging for all UK industries. Such data demonstrates the sector's resilience and ingenuity. This is a positive outlook for the future of the industry and the huge opportunities that space brings. 

• New figures show UK space sector income grew by almost £1 billion into 2021
• Employment up with almost 1,800 more jobs across the UK space sector
• Number of space organisations up by almost 300
• Regions such as West Midlands, North West, North East, and Yorkshire and the Humber, saw significant growth, as well as Northern Ireland and Wales

We are seeing a similar pattern globally from our portfolio where revenues in the top 10 ten private Seraphim SSIT portfolio companies were up 53% in 2H 2022 as reported in our interims.
